What If?

What if you lived in a vastly different city that had different attractions and opportunities for success?
What if you ditched your bad habits - smoking, staying up too late at night, idly wasting time in front of the TV - and replaced them with more productive habits?
What if you went back to school and finished that degree you started?
What if you started writing that novel you’ve always wanted to write? That painting you’d love to give to your grandmother as a gift before she dies? That song you want to sing at your best friend’s wedding?
What if you quit your job you know that you loathe and moved on to a more suitable career?
What if you lost those 50 extra pounds and placed in that marathon you’ve only dreamed of participating in?
What if you abandoned your friends who you know aren’t helping you grow, and made new ones who were supportive and encouraging in your endeavors?
What if you never take those acting classes, those piano lessons, those karate classes, and never build up that talent you always wished you possessed?
… too often, our “what if” questions stay as what if. We don’t know what we can become or succeed at if we never abandon what we’re comfortable with and run towards those questions, demanding answers from ourselves.
What if you started walking on the path to your destiny?
